BCA Customer Support is seeking a Field Service Representative (FSR) to support our airline customers in Addis Ababa, Ethiopia. Position Overview: The Field Service Representative (FSR) is assigned to airline customers to provide on-site technical assistance to help maintain fleet health. FSR provides consulting services related to airline maintenance and engineering for the time critical dispatch support and fleet-wide maintenance planning, etc., and initiates corrective action to ensure fleet airworthiness and customer satisfaction with Boeing's products and services. The position will be located at the Boeing Field Service office in the airlines' engineering facility. The work pattern will vary depending on the needs of the customer or management direction, which will require candidate's flexibility in terms of working hours, unsupervised work for extended periods of time and willingness to be on call 24x7 as required to support emergent airline customer requirements. Position Responsibilities: Provide technical field support of company products, service and equipment on both aircraft and ground support systems Work with team to develop/initiate and oversee customer support plan and execute strategy Act as the on-site liaison between the company and customer personnel of widely varying background and address and resolve issues in a timely manner Assist customers with troubleshooting and analysis of issues to resolve maintenance/engineering and operational problems and respond to those issues by interpreting technical documents and procedures Utilize multi-disciplined technical expertise and company knowledge to help customers to achieve and sustain a high level of fleet dispatch reliability and proficiency in the operation and maintenance of company products by investigating product problems, determining cause, and developing and implementing corrective action. Understand complexity of customer issues and expectations and develop solutions for such challenges likely for maintenance/engineering and fleet reliability improvement Provide customer knowledge, including technical and operational data, to company organizations and anticipate opportunities to leverage company products and services for improvement Initiate assignments under consultative direction toward long-term goal and objectives and serves as prime consultant for the company on highly significant matters which relate to policies, programs, capabilities, and long-term business goals/objectives and being as a consultant to senior leadership Basic Qualifications: Technical, aeronautical and/or engineering college degree or FAA Airframe/Powerplant Mechanic license (or equivalent license from respective regulatory agency) Boeing aircraft maintenance experience, preferably with 787, 777 or 737 Customer service oriented mind with strong communication skills to build long-term relationships with customer Demonstrate problem solving abilities and ability to work under stressful circumstances and time constraints English is the common language for business and candidate must have strong language capability Working knowledge of Boeing processes and procedures Preferred Requirements: Prior experience in a Customer Support organization Local language skill is plus for consideration - Amharic This requisition is for an international, locally hired position in Ethiopia.
