Job Summary The role will be accountable, along with the rest of the Meta/Diageo Executive Team, for delivery of the total Diageo/Meta business plan including addressing challenges & shortfalls. Further more, the role holder will be responsible for the protection and promotion of Meta's/Diageo’s reputation with its principal government, media and community stakeholders through the delivery of a CR strategy to:- Lead in responsible drinking and CSR Deliver high value public policy wins Earn recognition for our business and our brands Facilitate employee motivation and engagement Top Accountability Make a significant contribution to the overarching strategy for Meta/Diageo, leading the organisation both within and outside functional area. Drive the highest standards of execution throughout the business and own functional unit, and in particular ensure excellence in the development and execution of corporate relations strategies. Recruit, develop, retain and lead a team of diverse corporate relations talent Represent the interests of Diageo at trade and industry bodies and ensuring any decisions and actions are within our commercial and social interests. Drive corporate social responsibility within the business and gain recognition as a responsible and celebrated corporate citizen in Ethiopia. Ensure effective and appropriate spend on corporate relations initiatives and managing functional overheads. Gain recognition for our brands through brand PR and media support to the Marketing Department and the business as a whole. Build strong relationships with key external stakeholders, such as government and media, and lead engagement with them on a diverse range on industry related issues. Develop and implement employee engagement strategies and processes to build alignment, passion and commitment to our corporate vision, strategy and values. Qualifications, skills and Experience required Qualifications Suitable Post Graduate Qualification – Business Related. Experience 5 - 10 years’ leadership and execution experience in a similar role, either within an FMCG environment or corporate affairs consultancy. Track record of success in highly demanding organisations operating in highly regulated environments. Operating within the context of an extensive and diverse external stakeholder network. Corporate communications and media relations experience essential.
