About ETDPA

Ethiopian Training and Development Professionals Association (ETDPA) was established in 2022 under the proclamation number 1113/2019 by the Authority of Civil Society Organizations in Ethiopia with a registration number 6295.  The major objective of ETDPA is promote the eco system of training and development profession, recognize the work ethics and rights of professionals, serve the country to get to be advantageous from the sector, work on the indigenous training and development practices to gain the recognition and respect as it deserves and contribute to the development of the sector in our country and beyond.

Objectives of this call

Ethiopian Training and Development Professionals Association (ETDPA) want to call and employ experienced staff to its head office. The assignment will play a critical role with the association president to ensure the performance of the individual members, departments and partners.    

Job description

The Job description of the assignment will be:

·       Manage membership related issues and day to day office operations

·       Resource identification and proposal writing

·       Social media management

·       Follow up and support different operational committees

·       Operate day to day outstanding issues

·       Perform other duties when assigned by the president

Job Specification/requirements

·       Education – any field of study

·       Year of experience – similar or related practical experience for Level 4/5/BA (with 7 years), MA (with 3 years), PhD (with 1 year).

·       Self-initiated and works with very minimal supervision

·       Familiarity to work in professional associations is a plus    

·       Excellent communication skill with individuals and organizations

Technical skills and experience  

·       Strong analytical skills and interpersonal relationship with diverse group of people.

·       Proposal writing and project management skills is mandatory.

·       Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English and Amharic.

·       Ability to perform and prioritize multiple tasks.

·       Computer proficiency in MS Office applications and technology-assisted communication techniques.  

Employment type

Three months contract and will renewed based on the availability of funds and best performance of the employee.
