Job Position: Donor Projects Compliance Coordinator Reports to: Head of Fundraising Duty base: Addis Ababa Salary: As per the company’s scale Job Summary : The Donor Projects Compliance Coordinator drives forward the ActionAid Ethiopia’s Country Programme knowledge and tools to deliver ways to comply with donor rules and regulations. The Coordinator provides expert advice, guidance and quality assurance on donor compliance for pre-and pOst—award of strategic grants. The post holder develops proposal and CN with the support of program team, leads on and keeps up-to-date contract management system, ensures effective project monitoring, maintains relationship with donors, affiliates and provides the necessary support and assists in fundraising events. He/ She will also Work closely with the finance and program team particularly with the Program Quality and Learning for effective project implementation and compliance. Job Key responsibilities : Facilitates the vital activities in the project start-up phase such as MOU signing b/n AAE & Funding Affiliates, , AAE & Partners, Project internalization and launching Workshop, etc; Participate in project identification, concept note and project proposal development processes for funding; Work closely with team members to ensure effective fundraising and donor partnership development process; Involves in Fundraising strategy development and implements he same Organize and lead any field level donor’s projects visits; Involves and supports in project development, planning, implementation and monitoring and evaluation of donor funded projects, Together with Implementing Units/Departments, follow up and monitor effective implementation of donor fund projects; Establish and or effectively utilize contract management system to input, update and produce reports for different purposes. Serve as a key liaison person for any donor communication on contractual matters; Organize status or progress and key challenges/risks of donor funded projects for the input/decision to the Quarterly Notional Donor Fund Projects Management Team (NDFPMT) Meeting, Together with Program Departments, lead and facilitate the mid-term & terminal evaluations of Donor funded projects and communicate the findings to all concerned; Educational Requirement: MA, MSc /BA in Development Studies, Economics and Management/ OR other related disciplines Required Experience and Competencies: 6 or 8 years of relevant experience for MA,/MSc or BA holders respectively Donor/NGO experience in project design and planning, management and evaluation. Capacity Building and facilitation skills and experience; Good interpersonal skills, staff responsiveness, value and team work oriented; Strong commitment to the mission of the organization; Capacity to handle effective communications within and outside AAE regarding donor projects/programmes and sponsorship management and deliverables. Excellent interpersonal, presentation, communication, negotiation and lobbying skills with donors, partners to work effectively in a changing or dynamic environment.
