Reports to : Finance Manager Number of post : 1 (One) Background: Florensis Ethiopia PLC is a multinational garden plant cuttings producing and exporting company that manages around 800 workers throughout the year and hundreds of additional seasonal workers in high production season. The company is situated at Oromia Region, East Shoa Zone: Lume Wereda Koka Kebele. The Company would like to invite the competent and qualified applicant for the Senior Accountant position. Dimensions of Role: The Senior Accountant is responsible for proper coding of all company transactions; record it to the financial system/Peachtree and settlement of receivable accounts related with staff and suppliers. Code the company transactions, record it to the company financial system and reconcile balances under account receivable. Typical Responsibilities – Key end Results of the Position: Code and Record transactions in the financial system (Peachtree). Follow all company transactions are supported with proper supporting documents and report to the Finance manager for any missing on regular basis. Follow all bank deductions and collections are properly captured to the financial system before period closing. Reconcile several current accounts (loans, prepayment and other related issues). Prepare Monthly Salary Payments. Prepare Periodical bank reconciliation. Support and report vat refund claims. Contact with external auditors and international head office (English required). Any other financial task by order of finance manager. Dealing with Problems: Resolves challenges and issues as they arise while discharging his/her responsibilities. Applies common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form and dealing with problems involving several concrete variables in standardized situations. Communications and Working Relationships: Internally: Effective interaction with all over Finance team and other Department. External: Interaction with suppliers, Bank, tax office and other external stakeholders. Job Requirements Educational Qualification and Experience: BA degree in Accounting, Finance or related field with minimum 5 years relevant work experience. Knowledge: Excellent knowledge of MS-Office software suite. Ability to solve problems, take initiative and plan the tasks Must have professional knowledge and experience in Financial analysis Computer skills including the Ability to operate a computerized data base management system, accounting system, spreadsheet, Peachtree and word processing programs at a highly proficient level.
