Boeing Global Services Supply Chain Execution is seeking a Logistics Specialist for its Component Services Program (CSP) operations at Addis Ababa. This position is in support of Boeing Global Services (BGS) 787 CSP for a major airline based in the region. Boeing 787 CSP, part of Boeing Global Services Supply Chain, provides a dedicated pool of high-value, dispatch-critical parts for airlines, while helping them to improve operations support and cash flow. With the Boeing 787 CSP, the airline removes a part from the airplane and ships it for exchange with a new unit from Boeing's exchange pool.

 

As key part of the responsibility for position, candidate will directly work with various internal Boeing organization and external airline functional organizations to coordinate and manage the distribution and storage of all incoming/outgoing exchange program parts. The selected candidate will be responsible, but not limited, to the following duties on a daily basis:

 

  • Enters, tracks and monitors customer/replenishment orders as required.
  • Analyzes material location and takes proactive measures to perform redistribution.
  • Analyzes and processes material returned from customers.
  • Work with airline material personnel and management (if necessary) to ensure that the unserviceable parts return on-time to Boeing warehouse.
  • Identifies and resolves customer supply chain management issues and discrepancies.
  • Responds to customer inquiries and coordinates delivery problem resolution.
  • Follow up with freight forwarder on delivery, freight invoices, etc.
  • Follow up with clearing agents until the arrival of goods to customer airline warehouse.
  • Follow up with clearing agents the status of all shipments under clearance and report it to local and Seattle Boeing leadership.
  • Prepare special documents to get approval for importing any hazardous materials that needs prior approvals.
  • Monitors performance metrics, performs trend analysis and takes mitigating action to meet performance objectives and identify opportunities for improvement.
  • Maintains internal/external supplier/customer interface with regular communication

Qualifications 

Prefer a Bachelor's degree and typically 8 or more years' related work experience, a Master's degree and typically 5 or more years' related work experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
