Vacancy for Political Officer/Secretary Mission of Japan to the African Union
This position is to assist the members of the Mission of Japan to the African Union established on 1 January 2018 in the premise of the Embassy of Japan.
Job Description Attend meetings organized by the AU or the diplomatic corps, and produce minutes Produce letters, Note Verbales and briefing notes Monitor AU policies and activities and produce appropriate reports Assist coordination between the Mission and other stakeholders Engage in secretarial and accounting works
Working Office: At the Embassy of Japan in Ethiopia Working days/Hours: Every Monday to Friday, 8:30 - 12:30, 13:30 - 17:15 Social Security: Private company health insurance
Qualification Completion of Bachelor's degree from a recognized university in a field of politics, international relations or other related field of study Requirements Ability to speak/write in English, French and Amharic fluently Experience with and ability to use computer applications such as Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint etc. Keen interest and enough knowledge in the African Union Able to work and cooperate in a multi-cultural environment Flexible and serious working attitude for all kinds of duties Able to work on own initiative, under supervision and in a team, as required Good analytic and communication skill
