JOB TITLE: Process Improvement Manager


REPORTS TO: Operations Director
JOB PURPOSE: This position is responsible for leading the Continuous Improvement initiatives in a busy remanufacturing site. This position will provide leadership, planning, process direction, communication and coaching skills to ensure safe production of high quality products to meet customer needs in the most cost effective manner.

RESPONSIBILITIES AND INFLUENCE:
• Drives Continuous Improvement to quantitatively and qualitatively improve costs, quality, and service.
• Train and educate the work force and implement continuous improvement methodologies including but not limited to 5S and Lean principles.
• Responsible for tracking downtime results, improving data integrity and developing improvement plans based on the data.
• Supports safety - in training, job design, ergonomics, and regulatory compliance.
• Ensures product quality.
• Establishes and manages systems for “right first time” performance.
• Provide strategic leadership, and tactical planning for the technicians.
• Work collaboratively with HR.

• Strong written, oral, communications and facilitation skills. Excellent listener. Empathetic and compassionate to individuals concerns and directs necessary follow-up actions.

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:
• Ideally, degree in manufacturing, engineering or equivalent work experience.
• Experience in a variety of manufacturing areas.
• Experience in “Lean” and 5s processes.
