1. Campus Student Monitor
REPORTS TO: MS Deputy Principal
REQUIRED NUMBER: 1
CONTRACT TYPE: Full Time
DUTIES AND ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
Patrol and supervise assigned school campus areas, including classrooms, campus perimeter, restrooms and parking lots and eating areas to enforce school rules with regard to safety and student behavior.
Establish rapport with students to encourage proper behavior and cooperation. In the cafeteria, ensure that all students have an opportunity to eat, encourage good etiquette and cleanliness, emphasize consideration for others, and that waste is kept at a minimum
Respond to rule infractions; report serious violations of school rules to school administrators; report suspicious or unauthorized activities to school administrators.
Enforce playground rules and regulations during arrival and be particularly mindful of the safety and welfare of the students during dismissal.
Apply the ‘ICS WAY’ code of conduct
Talk to students who are out of class to determine the nature of their activities.
Confirm visitors to the campus are authorized and showing proper identification
Check and clear student absences and posts occurrences to records and perform other attendance functions as needed.
Ensure students are in their designated activity locations and with their facilitators during after class activity.
Monitor student movement in the campus on Saturdays or days when school is not officially open
Monitor potential trouble areas.
Call for assistance during a medical emergency and assist in the administration of First Aid for ill and /or injured children.
Assist in investigating incidents, e.g., graffiti, thefts, fights, violations, etc. to provide support in mediating issues.
Provide a safe environment by actively monitoring and reporting maintenance and safety issues to your supervisor.
Assist teachers and administrators in the direct supervision of students during a variety of assigned campus events and in designated areas to ensure compliance with school policies and procedures.
Escort students as may be required to ensure students are at appropriate campus locations.
Ensure drinking water dispensers are refilled and functioning at all times. Actively monitor those around the veranda and sports field especially during weekends.
College Diploma with 2 years of relevant experience
Proficiency in spoken and written English
Good rapport with students of the school
2. MS/HS Lunch Monitor
To free up classroom Teaching Assistants for lunch so that teacher and TA planning time will not be affected.
To supervise the activities of students in the cafeteria and the surrounding areas.
To monitor student behavior for compliance with school rules and regulations in the cafeteria and surrounding areas
To interact positively with students and encourage them to behave appropriately
To report students not behaving appropriately to the office
Education/Experience: College Diploma with 2 years of relevant experience
Skill: Ability to communicate clearly and concisely in English.
Team player and detail oriented.
General: Proficiency in spoken and written English
Good rapport with students of the school
Only expected to be at work place 20hrs/week - starting from 10A.M - 2P.M (4hrs/day)
