Field Officer


  • Support on preparing project plan and report with required standards
  • Ensure the implementation of the project is done in accordance with the terms and conditions specified by the donor;
  • Coordinate & facilitate fair selection of beneficiaries and ensure entire satisfaction of them on the support
  • Support the work with BOFED, TVET Bureau and TVET Colleges
  • Ensure implementation and maintaining quality and consistency of technical standards /Norms/ of TVET training.
  • Successful implementation of all stages of the project’s cycle, including M&E, budget and procurement management.
  • Adhering to PIN, government and donors’ policies.
  • Internal and external reporting
  • Ensure an excellent working relationship with partners, local government and communities
  • Coordinate and build the capacity of field coordinator and/or officers
  • Makes sure that project is implemented as per the project document, time plan and other relevant documents
  • Follows all internal procedures for project implementation, procurements, etc.
  • Reports to relevant Project manager
  • Collects the data from implementation
  • Monitoring the overall development of the situation in affected areas and suggest the way forward

Job Requirements

  • Minimum BA Degree in Sociology, TVET/Business Education, Economics, and other related Fields of studies etc.;
  • Minimum of 4 years’ experience in the sector and 2 years in field officer position in INGOs
  • Experience with  TVET  sector , MSEs, value chain and livelihood is advantageous
  • Experience of managing teams, strong coordination skills
  • Strong experience with project cycle Management, Ability to meet deadlines
  • Excellent written communication skills and ability to use Microsoft Office (Word, Excel etc.)
  • Strong organizational and project management skills, and ability to deliver within tight deadlines
  • Excellent knowledge of spoken & written Amharic and English.
  • 3 strong references (will be crosschecked)
