ActionAid Ethiopia is looking for a competent Resilient Livelihood and Humanitarian response Specialist and Cooperative Promotion and Marketing Project Officer and would like to invite qualified and interested persons to apply
Job Title 1: Resilient Livelihood and Humanitarian response Specialist
Department: Program Reports to: Head of Programs Terms of Employment: Permanent Location: Addis Ababa
The successful Resilient Livelihood and Humanitarian response Specialist Provides strategic leadership and technical support on Sustainable livelihood, Resilience building and humanitarian response in national, local and regional level engagements; Develops national level Resilient livelihood and humanitarian response plans and implementing the same; coordinates humanitarian responses; facilitates linkage of strategic program/policy works, researches and networking; support programme quality, integration and coherence in order to contribute to the wider AAE mission commitments. Engages in AAI International platforms for local to international linkages and forge strategic engagement/networking with CSOs for external engagements to advance AAE’s commitment. Job Requirements:
MSc in Agriculture, Rural Development and other related disciplines
Minimum of 6 years of relevant experience
Experience in developing, planning and managing livelihood and humanitarian response projects
Job Title 2: Cooperative Promotion and Marketing Project Officer
Reports to: Senior Project Officer Type of Contract: 10 Months contract Duty Base: Arsi, Seru
The Successful Project Officer is responsible for the efficient and effective implementation of the Project/or specific programme activity. She/he is responsible to be engaged in communtty level participatory poverty analysis, design/planning, appraisal. implementation, monitoring & evaluation of multi-sectoral anti-poverty and integrated development programs with emphasis given to the objective of organizing and Institutional capacity building of CBOs through preparation and monitoring of cooperative business plan, provide regular technical support couching cooperative performances and facilitation of market linkage Job Requirements
The successful candidate must possess a minimum of Bachelor Degree in cooperative promotion and marketing, Agricultural economics, or Agricultural Business, with a minimum of four years proven experience,
Proven experience on participatory community development/ community mobilization, organization and empowerment and multi sectoral grassroots integrated development work.
Proven working experience with multi-purpose cooperative, saving and credit union and other income generation groups
Technical training facilitation skill and proven experience in writing report and documentation skill
Knowledge of the local language is mandatory.
First grade driving license is an advantage.
