Talent Recruitment Coordinator


  Salary: 10,320 – 16,460, plus health stipend, communication stipend and chance for performance bonuses    

In 2018-19 One Acre Fund – Ethiopia is partnering with the Ethiopian government to improve agroforestry, solar energy, teff productivity and seed availability. Our primary objective is to increase incomes of smallholder farmers. In 2018, we will grow from six woredas to more than ten woredas, with plans for further expansion in 2019. We expect our employees to work and steadily and voluntarily increase their responsibilities.  

Recruitment activities, such as

  • Draft and publish job advertisements
  • Maintain applicant tracking database
  • Identify, schedule and conduct interviews of candidates in accordance with internal guidelines
  • Evaluate applicants and shortlist candidates in cooperation with HR managers and hiring managers
  • Administer tests online and in-person
  • Create job offers and contracts
  • Create and maintain partnerships with networks, professional fellowships, as well as public and private institutions, in order to source Ethiopia’s most talented workers
  • Training of hiring managers on recruitment processes, best practices and software – you will work closely with hiring managers to ensure we recruit and select the best and brightest candidates in Ethiopia in a manner that is efficient and free from bias. You will conduct trainings and monitor some activities for quality assurance.
  • Creation, analysis and presentation of recruitment reports – One Acre Fund has a philosophy of continual growth. You will record data and learn to conduct professional analysis of recruitment data to help us improve our efficiency and effectiveness in filling open roles quickly.
  • Special projects, as assigned by your manager – in particular, these will be related to staff retention and improving the organization’s reputation as a great place to work. Special projects are the key to growth at OAF, and we want someone who is excited to grow their responsibilities through special projects outside of their core responsibilities.

Preferred Start Date: Immediately


Contract length: One year, renewable with mutual consent


Job Requirements

Qualification and Experience:

  • Top-level fluency in English, both written and spoken – this role reports remotely to a native English speaker
  • Minimum one year of professional experience in an office setting
  • Excellent computer skills - in email, Excel and Word
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and spoken
  • Excellent attention to detail, highly organized and self-directed
  • Independent, proactive thinker with good problem-solving skills and eagerness to learn
  • University degree in any subject
