PATH Ethiopia Country Program seeks to contract a Data clerk to support data entry for the DHIS-II under its OHEP Project. The Consultant will work closely with OHEP M&E Advisor, other data clerks and the project team. The expected time required is approximately one week. The Consultant will be working 100% full time during the data entry work is planned to take place in March 2018.
The data clerk will undertake data entry in to the pre-designed templates in DHIS-II
The data clerk will conduct data cleaning, compare data with source documents, and re-enter to ensure the data quality.
Data clerk will work closely with the project staff to prioritize Information needs related to data analysis and reporting
Other related activity as assigned by the immediate supervisor
Qualification, skills and experience:
First/second degree in Public Health, Statistics, M&E, Health Informatics, Demography, Economics or related field.
At least 5 years of experience as Data management in health related areas
Knowledge of statistics and experience of using statistical packages for data entry, data base management, analysis large datasets (DHIS-II, eHMIS, EPI Info/CSPro, SPSS, Excel, MS ACCESS, etc.)
An ability to work independently and as part of a team
Ability and willingness to work under tight schedule
Ability to work with large amounts of data and need to see through the data and analyze it to find conclusions
Strong typing, analytical, and computer skills
Expected Outputs Deliverables
Completed DHIS-II soft copy data entry templates with the required quality
