Vita(Consortium lead agency) with financial support of EU-delegation to Ethiopia in partnership with Amref,iDE, AFD & VSF Germany implementing EC RESET II RESULT project in Hammer, Dassenech and Nyangatom woredas of SNNPR. Vita is looking competent and qualified candidates to apply for the following positions.

1. Livelihood and Business Development Officer/Project officer (# of position 1)

Major Duties and Responsibilities:
• Responsible to plan and coordinate and also manage Omo Delta project and oversee the project HR issues and Financial management
• Prepare sound project operational plan against budget allocation
• Facilitate and ensure regular communication and maintain relationship with stakeholders and consortium members
• Ensure completion of all grant deliverables on time with the allocated budget
• Develop business schemes to diversified income for the target beneficiaries
• Ensure multiple interventions on thematic approach to bring intensified and visible changes in the community for long term resilience capacity
• Facilitate skill development of target beneficiaries with special attention for youth and woman on income generation/business activities
• Ensure job creation opportunities are developed to reduce migration and displacement  

Job Requirements:

BSc or MSc Degree in Agricultural Economics, Rural Development, Economics, Business Management from recognized university/college or related field of study
Required Experience and Skill
• BSc 5 and MSC 3 years of relevant NGO experience in business development and experience in project management skills
• Reporting writing technical skill is essential
• Proficiency in written and spoken in English and Amharic languages is mandatory and speaking local language is plus
• Excellent interpersonal, communication and report writing skill
• Working with team spirit is highly required
• Coordination and leadership skill is essential

2. Driver Mechanic (#of position 1 )

Major Duties and responsibilities
• Support project implementation through providing transportation services
• Implement vehicle management procedures and regulations
• Ensure vehicle annual inspection and third party insurance are properly managed  

Job Requirements:

Education and Experience
• Completion of vocational school and Diploma in Auto mechanic and 5 years working experience
• Field vehicle driving license is essential

3. Senior Accountant

Addis Ababa

Major Duties and Responsibilities
• Following EU grant management procedures maintain appropriate computerized financial management system for control and reporting
• Prepare periodic financial reports to donor agency and concerned bodies
• Provide technical support to the field office on the application of computerized accounting system
• Prepare cash flow and financial forecast to ensure sound financial planning for the fiscal year
• Ensure financial transactions are documented for reference and periodical auditing
• Ensure bank reconciliation, cash management, financial closing, tax compliance, payroll management, receipts and payments, auditing, inventory management are in place  

Job Requirements:

Required Education:
• BA or MBA Degree in accounting/financial management from recognized university/college Required Experience and skill:
• BA 5 and MBA 3 years NGO working experience in accounting/financial management • Proficiency in computerized accounting system
• Experience in donor funded grant management-preferably EU fund
• Ability in speaking and writing English language

4. Admin Accountant

Job Descriptions
• Maintain computerized accounting system in line with the consortium financial management procedures
• Prepare journal entries, monthly and quarterly financial statements • Maintain balance sheet and ledger accounts and bank reconciliations
• Prepare periodic financial reports of the consortium members in the location
• Tax computations in compliance with the government regulations
• Perform payroll activities incompliance with the existing procedures
• Manage receipt and disbursements for project fund  

Job Requirements:

Job Required Skill and Knowledge
• BA Degree in accounting from recognized university/college
• 5 year of working experience in NGO sector is required
• Proficiency in accounting principles and practices
• Proficiency in relevant accounting software
• Communication and report writing skill is required
