Major Duties and Responsibilities
Monitors current inventory levels and processes purchase orders as required.
Conduct periodical inventory counts and maintain inventory records to share with management and other stakeholders in the business.
Perform quality checks on inventory in storage and discard items that do not meet company standards.
Stocking and distributing supplies, equipment, or merchandise.
Process and document returns as required by following the established procedures.
Obtaining estimates and price details from different vendors to compare costs.
Compiling inventory balance, price, and cost reports every week.
Counting materials, equipment, merchandise or supplies in stock and preparing inventory reports detailing any overstock or missing items, if any.
Compute figures from production records, sales orders or purchase invoices to obtain up-to-date inventory level.
Able to use inventory software to keep track of orders, returns, and supply.
Reporting discrepancies between physical counts and computer records.
Assists warehouse manager in developing new ways to efficiently maintain inventory control;
Performs routine clerical and cashier duties, including handling cash and cash-related payments, data entry, and assisting customers.
Other tasks assigned by your immediate supervisor.
Requirements
Academic qualification
BA in logistics and supply management or related fields.
Additional qualifications and skill
Excellent understanding of information systems technology.
Strong interpersonal communication skills
Must have excellent arithmetic skills
Must be well organized and handle stressful situations.
Excellent customer service skills
Good understanding of sales and marketing strategies
Well-developed customer orientation and communication skills
Ability to work independently with little direct supervision.
Years of experience: 2+ years of experience in a similar position
