Job Description

Job Purpose: The position holder is responsible for evaluating vendors, negotiating contracts, and preparing reports with solid analytical skills to make sure you're identifying the most profitable offers.

Main Duties

  • Place purchase orders and issue call-offs according to production schedules.

  • Follow-up on supplier confirmation of purchase orders and shipments.

  • Establish requirements of specified packaging materials both local and imported based on medium-term requirements.

  • Meeting with vendors and clients to negotiate the best contracts.

  • Liaising with delivery and warehouse teams to ensure goods are received on time.

  • Inspecting purchased products upon delivery and reporting any issues timely.

  • Updating all records of purchased products.

  • Writing reports on purchases made and performing cost analyses.

  • Selecting the most suitable suppliers in terms of reliability, product quality, and cost-efficiency.

  • Scheduling and verifying purchase deliveries.

  • Building and maintaining positive, long-term supplier relations.

  • Other tasks assigned by your immediate supervisor.

Requirements

Qualification: Degree in purchasing and supplies management or related field

Working experience: 3+ years' experience, preferably in a manufacturing sector
