Duties and Responsibilities
- Handle staff planning, recruitment, induction, training and development, appraisal, performance management, and contract termination.
- Having an understanding of clients' HR project needs and providing appropriate solutions.
- Drafting job descriptions and advertisements and organizing and facilitating new hire orientation programs.
- Assisting in the implementation of performance management systems and consulting services to clients
- Enforce the Ethiopian Labour Law, company policy, and regulation in all HR activities.
- Coordinates all HR administration tasks including allowance and benefits administration.
- Communicate with employees on updates related to their bank account and leave balances.
- Handle vacancy announcements and follow up on the timely collection of applications.
- Setting up employee records and updating personnel records in line with the HR guidelines and ensuring their completeness.
- Ensure staff insurance registration, renewals, inclusion, and exclusions are made promptly.
- Ensure staff are registered and covered by pension fund as per government pension law.
- Review the attendance management of the client and its proper & timely submission.
- Manage all HR-related correspondence on time and as per labor law.
- Handle staff leave management and ensure a timely utilization is in place.
- Coordinates activities such as special events, meetings, travel, training, and workshops.
- Serve as a point of contact for assigned project/s and provide adequate information through phone or email for all inquiries on time.
- Working with the legal team on policy issues, compliance concerns, and grievances.
- Shortlist and screen applications as per the requirement set for the position including conducting background and reference checks.
- Conducts exit interviews for leavers; identifies key issues and prepares periodic reports for improvement.
- Perform other duties assigned and delegated by the Human Resource Manager and Coordinate with different teams to ensure project success.
- Generating HR reports and analytics for clients and management consumption.
- Other tasks as assigned by immediate supervisor.
Requirements
Academic qualification
- Degree in Management, Human Resources or related fields
Additional qualifications
- Excellent communication and administration skills
- Excellent Inter and Intra-personal communication skills.
- Self-motivated, result-oriented and well-organized
- Good knowledge of Ethiopia Labor Law
- Proven problem-solving and decision-making aptitude.
Years of experience:
- 3+ years of experience in the Human Resource Management field, preferably in the Service Providing sector is advantageous.
