Major Responsibilities:
Write and distribute content to promote an organization's brand, activities, or products;
Establish and maintain effective relationships with journalists, and maintain a media database;
Ensure good relationships with relevant government bodies, members, partners and stakeholders;
Identify stories, and develop/review content for the website and social media channels and ensure consistency in branding;
Support media engagement by organizing press conferences and other public events and preparing briefing materials, talking points, and press releases;
Writing and editing press releases, leaflets, brochures, speeches, newsletters, websites and social media content;
Prepare communication programs to keep the public informed of the achievements and realizations of the company;
Regularly gather information, populate and manage the communications planner and feed information to the Communications Director on a weekly basis;
Identify the target audience and develop communication strategies accordingly;
Hands-on experience in creating innovative campaigns to engage with the public and media;
Writing and editing in-house magazines, case studies and annual reports;
Liaison with the print and television media to respond to inquiries, arrange press meets, prepare and distribute news releases and make statements;
Proofreading and editing promotional materials such as press releases, newsletters, etc.);
Providing administrative support to the Director of Public Relations and the communications team;
Requirements:
Excellent verbal and written communication skills;
Proficient with Microsoft Office and desktop publishing software;
Exceptional written and verbal communication skills
Ability to work both independently and within a team
Accuracy and a sharp eye for detail
Ability to work well under pressure
Creativity and problem-solving aptitude
Academic Qualifications
BA in Public Relations, Marketing, Journalism, or related business fields.
Experience: 3+ years of experience in marketing, publications, or related fields
