Manage the grant program and grants awarded under the project. Oversee grants administration, compliance, and implementation procedures, and ensure compliance with USAID procurement regulations and local laws. Conduct grant solicitations and advertisements; design and prepare grant review guidelines; review grant applications and convene grant committee meetings; participate in negotiations and prepare awards. Develop and implement a grant tracking system to ensure timely and correct execution of all grant agreements. Maintain accurate, up-to-date, and audit-ready grant records. Build capacity of grantees to effectively manage grants and comply with grant requirements. Additionally responsible for cost share reporting.
Bachelor’s Degree in accounting, business, or other relevant field. At least 6 years of relevant professional experience in managing USAID-awarded grants. Solid relationship management skills. Strong computer skills using Microsoft Office, particularly Excel.In addition to the position-specific requirements of each individual opening, understanding of USAID administrative procedures and requirements is highly desirable. Fluency in Amharic and English is also required.
