Record financial transactions, prepare periodic financial statements and reports, and keep up-to-date accounts books. Prepare monthly payroll and other regular payments. Establish a system to control office supplies usage and maintain a re-order level and a safety stack system. Monitor petty cash. Assist with logistics and/or project events, as needed.
Bachelor’s Degree in finance, business administration, accounting or other relevant field. At least 2 years of relevant professional experience in program accounting and book-keeping. Computer literacy in Microsoft Word and Excel, and knowledge of Quicken or similar accounting software (QuickBooks, Peachtree). USAID experience and knowledge of FARs and AIDARs is highly desirable. In addition to the position-specific requirements of each individual opening, understanding of USAID administrative procedures and requirements is highly desirable. Fluency in Amharic and English is also required.
