Job Description:
Protect, promote and support Infant and Young Child Feeding (IYCF) program in the health system, including health facilities with due emphasis on enhancing the availability and integration of IYCF counselling services.
Assist health facilities in the establishment and utilization of Breast Feeding Spaces (BFSs) for a holistic IYCF and psychosocial support to pregnant, lactating women and their children who are facing emergency situations.
Supporting community mobilization and sensitization activities on CMAM and IYCF programs through establishment and strengthening of IYCF services
Establish/strengthen MtMSGs and FtFSGs to promote and support CMAM and IYCF health promotion and education activities, facilitate active detection and early referral of acute malnutrition of cases to health facilities etc.
Print, laminate and Provide the necessary IYCF guide lines and protocols for running IYCF PROGRAM
Required Professional Experience
Minimum three years working experience with NGOs in CMAM program, specific to IYCF;
Required Education, training, license, registration, and certification
BSc degree in Public Health/ Clinical Nursing/Nutrition and related health field of study preferred from accredited universities or health colleges
Certificates on:
Preferred Knowledge and Qualifications
Knowledge, training and experience in management of IYCF and SAM management Demonstrated skills in IYCF and CMAM program planning, implementation and monitoring. Demonstrated ability to work effectively in a team environment.
