Job Description

Ethio Impact Consulting PLC is seeking a Sales Engineer / Account Manager on behalf of a Technology company.

Responsibilities

  • Sales Pipeline Management: Develop and manage a robust sales pipeline, ensuring that sales targets are met or exceeded on a weekly, monthly, and annual basis.
  • Pre-sales Engagement: Present software and hardware solutions to a wide range of clients, providing tailored technical proposals and solution presentations.
  • Proposal Development: Develop detailed business and technical proposals for bids, ensuring full compliance with RFP (Request for Proposal) and ToR (Terms of Reference) requirements.
  • Vendor Relationship Management: Build and maintain strong relationships with international vendors, securing competitive pricing and advantageous deals.
  • Cross-Selling & Up-Selling: Implement strategies to identify opportunities within existing accounts and increase business through cross-selling and up-selling.
  • Lead Generation & Client Acquisition: Proactively identify new prospects, generate leads, and convert them into clients.
  • Customization & Innovation: Continuously refine and adapt products and services to meet specific customer technical requirements and market trends.
  • Bid Management: Ensure timely and accurate preparation of bid documentation, including compliance and technical/business proposals.
  • Collaboration & Customer Success: Work closely with clients and internal teams to deliver custom solutions, ensuring client satisfaction and long-term relationships.
  • Procurement Process: Actively participate in the Ethiopian public procurement process, ensuring compliance with relevant regulations.
  • After-Sales Support: Provide excellent after-sales service, ensuring that customers remain satisfied and loyal.

Requirements

  • Experience: A minimum of two years’ experience in technology product sales, ideally with a well-known technology company in Ethiopia.
  • Pre-sales Expertise: Proven experience in pre-sales activities, including understanding client requirements, product presentations, and solution demonstrations.
  • Sales Team Management: Previous experience in managing a sales team and implementing effective sales strategies.
  • Large-Scale Project Experience: Experience working on large, multi-million Birr sales projects, with a proven high win rate in competitive bidding scenarios.
  • Technical Background: A solid technical foundation with a degree in Engineering (e.g., Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, Civil Engineering, etc.) or a related field.
  • Bid Proposal Experience: Experience in preparing and submitting bid proposals, with an understanding of Ethiopian public procurement regulations.
  • Sales & Communication Skills: Strong sales acumen with a track record of exceeding sales targets, and excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Fast-Paced Environment: Ability to thrive in a dynamic, results-oriented environment, and navigate through complex sales cycles.
  • Negotiation Skills: Strong ability to negotiate with vendors and secure favorable deals.
  • Tech-Savvy: Proficient in using various business tools and applications.
