National Bank of Ethiopia Paid Internship Opportunity:

The National Bank of Ethiopia is the central bank responsible for overseeing the country’s financial system. Established in 1963, it has evolved from a commercial bank to a fully-fledged central bank. The bank plays a crucial role in regulating the money supply, managing foreign exchange reserves, and supervising the banking sector. Committed to financial inclusion, the NBE is a member of the Alliance for Financial Inclusion, actively working to expand access to financial services for all Ethiopians.

The Talent Firm is now recruiting young talent for SStSI project, to join the federal workforce in support of one agency in Ethiopia, namely The National Bank of Ethiopia (NBE). The program places fresh graduates meeting the minimum requirements and selected from a strict assessment process,  into paid internships and aims to develop a diverse pool of young talent for these agencies.

Paid Internship Opportunity at National Bank of Ethiopia:

Position: System Testing Internship

Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree in any fields.
  • Superior academic achievement and have a CGPA of 3.25 and above.
  • Strong writing, editing, and proofreading skills in [Language(s), e.g., English, Amharic].
  • Familiarity with social media platforms and basic analytics tools.
  • Creativity, attention to detail, and a proactive approach to learning.
  • Strong organizational and time-management skills.
  • Familiarity with social media management tools such as Hootsuite, Buffer, Google Analytics, etc. is a plus.

Selected participants in the program will benefit from:

  • An intensive 3- weeks job readiness and career launching training
  • A 12-month paid internship with a federal ministry to gain valuable work experience.
  • Professional development sessions, with clear performance review, coaching and mentoring components throughout the internship program.
  • Experience sharing sessions with senior public service leaders

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assist in developing, editing, and publishing content for various communication platforms, including social media, newsletters, websites, and press releases.
  • Conduct research to gather data and insights for creating relevant and impactful content.
  • Stay updated on industry trends, government policies, and public interests to align content with strategic objectives.
  • Assist in managing social media accounts, including drafting posts, scheduling updates, and monitoring engagement.
  • Propose creative ideas to enhance the NBE’s online presence.
  • Collaborate with teams to promote events, programs, and campaigns through engaging content.
  • Work closely with various departments to understand content requirements and ensure accuracy.
  • Receive and incorporate feedback from supervisors to refine and improve content quality.
  • Maintain an organized repository of content and materials for easy access and reference.
  • Assist in drafting and proofreading official documents, reports, and communications.
