Role Purpose
The Costing & MIS Officer/Manager will establish and manage accurate product costing, budgeting, and forecasting frameworks for electronics and laptop manufacturing operations. This role ensures visibility into BOM costs, production costs, inventory valuation, and financial performance to support pricing, profitability analysis, and compliance with IFRS standards.
Key Responsibilities
- BOM & Product Costing: Maintain detailed BOMs, analyze cost impacts, support pricing decisions, and perform variance analysis.
- Budgeting: Lead annual and periodic budgets for manufacturing, inventory, and overheads; monitor utilization and deviations.
- Forecasting & Financial Planning: Prepare rolling forecasts for production, costs, cash flow, and profitability.
- MIS & Reporting: Develop dashboards and reports on profitability, cost breakdowns, budget vs. actuals, and inventory valuation.
- Systems & Compliance: Support ERP/finance system improvements, ensure IFRS compliance, and provide audit documentation.
Skills & Competencies
- Strong understanding of manufacturing costing, especially electronics/laptop assembly.
- Solid knowledge of BOM structures and inventory accounting.
- Advanced Excel skills; ERP experience highly desirable.
- Analytical, problem‑solving, and reporting expertise.
- Ability to collaborate across production, procurement, and supply chain teams.
- High attention to detail and strong business acumen.
Qualifications & Experience
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Management, Engineering, or related field.
- Professional certification (ACCA, CPA, CMA) is an advantage.
- 3–7 years of experience in costing, MIS, or FP&A within manufacturing.
- Electronics or technology manufacturing experience highly preferred.
