Awash Bank, Ethiopia’s pioneering private bank, was established on November 10, 1994 after the downfall of the socialist regime. The Bank was established by 486 founding shareholders with a paid-up capital of Birr 24.2 million and started banking operations on Feb. 13, 1995.
Since embarking operation, the Bank has registered remarkable growth. Notwithstanding global and domestic challenges, Awash Bank has exhibited a superior operational and financial performances among private banks operating in Ethiopia. Awash Bank is currently working towards strengthening its capital base, technological capabilities, human resources and customer base.
Qualification & Experience: BSc Degree in Computer Science, Information Science & Computer Engineering plus a minimum of six (6) years in Database administration or related with three (3) years of which should be in a senior/equivalent role preferably in the banking sector.
Required Knowledge & Skills:
– Knowledge of two or more RDBMS technologies (DB2, Oracle, MS-SQL server & Knowledge of advanced SQL)
– Advanced knowledge of operating systems preferably AIX, Linux. Storages, network and security knowledge. Knowledge of high availability (HA) and Disaster recovery options.

Qualification & Experience: BA Degree in Accounting, Economics, Management & Business Administration plus a minimum of eleven (11) years of work experience in the banking sector with three (3) years of which in a supervisory position.
MA/MBA in business related fields (added advantage)
Trainings in domestic and international banking operations, credit management and leadership (added advantage)

Qualification & Experience: BA Degree in Accounting, Economics, Management & Business Administration plus a minimum of ten (10) years’ experience in the banking sector of which three (3) years in a supervisory position.

Qualification & Experience: BA Degree in Business Administration, Management, Accounting, Banking & Finance, Economics or related discipline plus minimum of nine (9) years of relevant banking experience of which three (3) years in a supervisory position.

Qualification & Experience: BA Degree in Business Administration, Management, Accounting, Banking & Finance and Economics plus minimum of eight (8) years of relevant banking experience of which three (3) years in a supervisory position.
