Under direction, the Executive Assistant (EA) provides high level administrative support to the Australian Ambassador (Head of Mission – HOM), including day-to-day liaison with key contacts, coordinating appointments and events, arranging travel and management of Ambassador’s official and representational activities. 

Position: Executive Assistant to the Ambassador

  • A qualification in a relevant field is desirable but not mandatory.
  • Previous experience providing high level support to senior management.
  • Well-developed oral and written communication skills in English and Amharic, and interpersonal skills.
  • Strong planning and organisational skills, demonstrated ability to work independently, apply initiative and work under pressure to meet changing priorities, deadlines and objectives.
  • Computer literacy in Windows, Microsoft Office, and Adobe Reader. Experience using data management systems is desirable.
  • Good judgment, decision making and problem-solving ability.
