Job Overview
The Embassy is seeking a Finance Analyst to provide accurate financial analysis, robust forecasting, and clear resource‑accounting insight. The role requires strong collaboration with programme managers, business managers, and finance colleagues to ensure compliance, efficiency, and effective decision-making.
Responsibilities
- Collaborate with programme and business managers to deliver accurate financial positions and forecasts.
- Explain complex financial information to diverse audiences, tailoring analysis to meet end‑user needs.
- Review financial systems, tools, and reporting processes; identify gaps and recommend improvements.
- Manage competing deadlines and ad‑hoc requests while maintaining accuracy and compliance with corporate reporting requirements.
- Challenge assumptions, propose system or process changes, and support improvements in financial control.
- Produce accurate financial analysis using advanced Excel skills (Pivot Tables, lookups, complex formulas, multi‑sheet analysis).
- Support budgeting, forecasting, financial reporting, and resource accounting.
Qualifications
Essential:
- Previous experience in a finance role with responsibilities in budgeting, forecasting, reporting, or resource accounting.
- Strong analytical capability and attention to detail.
- Advanced Excel skills (Pivot Tables, lookups, complex formulas).
- Confidence in explaining financial information to non‑finance colleagues.
- Strong organizational skills with ability to manage deadlines and reporting requirements.
- Willingness to challenge assumptions and propose improvements.
Desirable:
- Experience in International Development or Humanitarian sector.
- Arabic language skills.
- Prior experience working on or in Sudan.
- Professional qualification or training with CCAB bodies (ACCA, CIPFA, ICAEW, ICAI, ICAS), CIMA, or AAT.

Salary
USD 1,504.61 per month (subject to tax and statutory deductions)
