For a study on laws and decrees affecting business advisory services (BDS) and business advisory service providers (BASPs) in Ethiopia, MG Consultancy is now hiring highly skilled individuals to work as data collectors in Addis Ababa or other regional capital cities.

NUMBER- 10 (5 for Addis Ababa) and (5 for Amhara, Oromia, Somali and Tigray capital cities)

JOB DESCRIPTION

The Data Collector will be tasked with:

- Conducting Key Informant Interviews (KIIs) using a provided questionnaire.

- Preparing concise, answer based on the interviews.

This role requires a solid understanding of Ethiopian business law and regulatory frameworks.

QUALIFICATIONS

- Master’s degree or higher in a relevant social science discipline (e.g., Management, Economics, Law, Sociology, or related fields).

- Proven experience in conducting Key Informant Interviews, particularly in business, regulation-related, or social science research within Ethiopia.

TARGET ORGANIZATIONS

- Government offices

- Non-governmental organizations (NGOs)

- Small and medium enterprises (SMEs)

- Business Advisory Service Providers (BASPs)

CONSULTANTS' DELIVERABLES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Communicate with the designated official from the chosen organization.
  • Perform Key Informant Interviews (KII) using the questionnaire.
  • Recorded by its apparatus
  • Sign the KII participants' attendance.
  • Create a report summary based on the questions.
  • Forward to a representative of MG Consultancy via email or Telegram.

COMPENSATION AND TIMEFRAME

- Net Payment: 2,000 Birr per successfully completed KII.

- Duration: Each KII must be completed within two to three days.

- Efficient and timely completion may lead to additional assignments. Failure to complete a KII within three days may result in reassignment and forfeiture of payment.
