Job Overview

Abay Bank is seeking qualified applicants for the following positions:

  • Customer Service Officer II (Fresh Graduates)
  • Junior Hardware Technician
  • Junior Office Equipment Technician (Generator)
  • Junior Warehouse Officer (Store Keeper I)
  • Branch Manager – Grade I

All roles are full-time and based at various branches and district offices in Ethiopia. Successful candidates will contribute to the Bank’s mission of delivering reliable financial services while ensuring operational excellence.


Key Responsibilities

Customer Service Officer II

  • Provide frontline banking services to customers.
  • Support account opening, deposits, withdrawals, and related transactions.
  • Deliver efficient and customer-focused service across assigned branches.

Junior Hardware Technician

  • Maintain and repair computer hardware.
  • Provide technical support for IT equipment.
  • Handle printer and copier maintenance.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve hardware issues.

Junior Office Equipment Technician (Generator)

  • Maintain and repair office equipment including generators.
  • Conduct routine inspections and preventive maintenance.
  • Support operational continuity through equipment servicing.

Junior Warehouse Officer (Store Keeper I)

  • Manage property and supplies inventory.
  • Oversee storage and distribution of materials.
  • Ensure accurate record-keeping and reporting.

Branch Manager – Grade I

  • Lead and supervise branch operations.
  • Approve loans, overdrafts, and transfers within authorized limits.
  • Manage foreign exchange transactions.
  • Oversee staff performance and prepare branch activity reports.

Required Qualifications & Skills

Customer Service Officer II

  • Education: Bachelor’s in Management, Business Administration, Accounting, Banking & Finance, Economics, Marketing, or related fields.
  • Work Experience: None required.
  • Additional Requirements: Expected graduation in 2024, 2025, or 2026; Age below 30; GPA minimum 3.00 (male) or 2.75 (female); Exit Exam result 50% and above.

Junior Hardware Technician

  • Education: BSc in Computer Science, IT, or Computer Engineering.
  • Work Experience: Minimum 2 years in hardware maintenance and technical support.
  • Technical Skills: Troubleshooting, hardware repair, printer/copier maintenance.
  • Preferred Certifications: CompTIA A+, CompTIA Network+, Office Machine Maintenance.

Junior Office Equipment Technician (Generator)

  • Education: BA/Diploma in Woodwork, Electricity, Machine, Office Equipment Maintenance, or related fields.
  • Work Experience: Minimum 2 years relevant experience.
  • Preferred Skills: Generator maintenance experience.

Junior Warehouse Officer (Store Keeper I)

  • Education: BA in Procurement & Supplies Management, Management, Accounting, or related fields.
  • Work Experience: Minimum 2 years in property management or related work.

Branch Manager – Grade I

  • Education: BA in Management, Economics, Accounting & Finance, Marketing, Banking & Finance, Business Administration, or related fields.
  • Work Experience: Minimum 6 years in banking operations, including 2 years in supervisory roles.

Duty Station / Work Location

  • Customer Service Officer II: Branches under Addis Ababa, Dessie, Bahir Dar, Gondar, Dire Dawa, Hawassa, Debre Birhan, and Adama Districts.
  • Junior Hardware Technician: Dire Dawa District Office.
  • Junior Office Equipment Technician (Generator): Dire Dawa District Office.
  • Junior Warehouse Officer (Store Keeper I): Bahir Dar District Office.
  • Branch Manager – Grade I: Assela Branch, Adama District.

Salary & Benefits

Salary and benefits will be provided in accordance with the organization’s pay scale and Ethiopian labor standards.
