Awash Bank, Ethiopia’s pioneering private bank, was established on November 10, 1994 after the downfall of the socialist regime. The Bank was established by 486 founding shareholders with a paid-up capital of Birr 24.2 million and started banking operations on Feb. 13, 1995.
Since embarking operation, the Bank has registered remarkable growth. Notwithstanding global and domestic challenges, Awash Bank has exhibited a superior operational and financial performances among private banks operating in Ethiopia. Awash Bank is currently working towards strengthening its capital base, technological capabilities, human resources and customer base.
Qualification & Experience:
BSc Degree in Information Technology and related fields plus a minimum of Four (4) years’ experience in IT and banking areas.
The jobholder is responsible for supporting IT strategy, enterprise architecture and integration related activities to achieve the Bank’s strategic objectives. S/he supports in integrating new technology and analyzing its effect on current infrastructure. S/he will support the alignment of the business strategy and IT strategy and further to identify opportunities for improvement in current IT architecture.

Qualification & Experience:
BSc Degree in Information Technology and related fields plus a minimum of six (6) years’ experience in IT and banking areas.
The job holder is responsible handling IT strategy, enterprise architecture and integration related activities to achieve the Bank’s strategic objectives. S/he undertakes analysis as to how to integrate new technology and its effect on current infrastructure. S/he also works with business units of the Bank to identify opportunities for improvement in current IT strategy, architecture and integration.

Qualification & Experience:
BA Degree in Business Administration, Management, Accounting, Banking & Finance, Economics or related discipline plus a minimum of eight (8) years of relevant Banking experience of which three 3 years in a supervisory position.
The purpose of this role is to organize, co-ordinate, support and control activities related to transformational projects from initiation to implementation in the Bank. The role requires planning, overseeing and coordinating different initiatives or projects of the Bank from ideation through to completion by ensuring that all Bank’s projects are completed on time and within budget, that the project’s objectives are meet, desired results are achieved and the most efficient resources are used.

Qualification & Experience
BSc Degree in Software Engineering, Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Information Technology or related fields plus a minimum of eight (8) years’ experience in IT, software development, quality inspection, auditing and testing, project management and banking areas.
Professional certificates in ITIL Foundation and quality assurance areas including quality auditor, quality engineer, quality improvement associate and six sigma (as an added advantage).
The job holder is responsible for coordinating IT quality assurance and change management activities. S/he ensures that quality issues are assessed and defects are appropriately identified, documented, tracked and resolved. S/he reviews quality specifications and technical design documents to provide timely and meaningful feedback. S/he supports in the IT change management initiatives and strategies across the Bank. S/he validates if comprehensive and well-structured test cases are provided by the responsible custodians. S/he will also collaborate with project teams, sponsors, and stakeholders to ensure that IT related changes are effectively implemented and adopted.
