Clearing and Reconciliation Officer II
EthSwitch is the National Switch owned by all banks (private and public) operating in Ethiopia, the National Bank of Ethiopia, MFIs, PIIs, and PSOs.
EthSwitch is mandated to Create Interoperability between financial institutions, Implement Domestic Payment Scheme, provide National Payment Gateway, serve as Central Inter connectivity for clearing & settlement and provide Shared Platform /Infrastructure services.

Qualification:
The Clearing and Reconciliation Officer II outlined responsibilities include conducting daily end-of-day settlement processes for various channels, generating Net Settlement Instructions for timely transactions, and providing clearing, settlement, and reconciliation reports to participant financial institutions. Additionally, the role involves executing reconciliation operations using the EthioRecon tool, preparing reports on unsettled transactions, compiling data for reporting, maintaining documentation of processes and findings, and assisting senior team members in data analysis.
The Clearing Officer II must also address inquiries from member institutions about clearing and settlement issues, monitor and notify delays in POS clearing file submissions, generate outgoing POS clearing files, and produce periodic and ad hoc reports for stakeholders while performing other assigned duties.
