Role Description
This is a part-time remote role for a Content Writer & IT Technical Support. The role will involve tasks related to web content writing, content strategy development, research, writing, and proofreading. The candidate will also provide technical support for IT-related issues.
Qualifications
- Web Content Writing, Writing, and Proofreading skills
- Experience in developing content strategies and conducting research
- Technical support skills in IT-related issues
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to work independently and remotely
- Knowledge of basic IT troubleshooting concepts
- Experience with website maintenance and content management systems
- Bachelor's degree in IT, English, Journalism, Communications, or related field
Location: Remote
Hours: 18–25 hours per week
Compensation Method: Job-based or time-based
Main Responsibilities:
- Create and upload blogs, articles, and other website content.
- Maintain and update website content (e.g., product descriptions, FAQs).
- Provide IT support.
Additional Responsibilities:
- Provide virtual assistant support.
- Perform basic IT tasks (e.g., troubleshooting, CMS maintenance).
Requirements:
- English and Amharic language proficiency.
- Proven experience in content writing.
- Proficiency in CMS platforms (e.g., Drupal, WordPress).
- Basic to advanced IT skills and problem-solving abilities.
- Strong organizational and communication skills.
- Reliable personal PC, fast internet connection, and remote work setup.
- Willingness to learn and grow.
Optional Qualifications:
- Experience related to the health and medical industry is a plus.
- Proficiency in Afan Oromo is a plus.
