Working closely with local communities, healthcare providers, and partners, Hope Walks ensures that children born with clubfoot receive the treatment and support they need to lead healthy, active lives.
Position Overview
The Monitoring and Evaluation (M&E) Specialist will provide technical leadership for data collection, reporting, and implementation of M&E activities within Hope Walks Ethiopia programs. The role will strengthen M&E systems across 70+ partner clinics, support data management, and generate insights to demonstrate program performance and impact.
Key Responsibilities
- Supervise regular data collection and ensure quality through verification and validation.
- Mentor and coach clinical supervisors, coordinators, and parent advisors in data collection.
- Record, manage, and preserve M&E data securely.
- Analyze findings and provide evidence‑based recommendations aligned with KPIs.
- Develop and implement monitoring systems in collaboration with Hope Walks HQ.
- Support rollout of patient‑level Data Management System (DHIS2 platform).
- Conduct baseline surveys, KAP surveys, and program evaluations.
- Prepare quarterly, six‑monthly, and annual reports.
- Promote learning and sharing culture across partner clinics and teams.
Job Requirements
- Education:
- Master’s degree in Health, M&E, Public Health, Health Informatics, or related fields.
- Experience:
- Minimum 5 years in monitoring and evaluation, with at least 2 years in NGOs.
- Experience in public health project monitoring, field data collection, and report writing.
- Skills:
- Strong M&E techniques, data collection, and management skills.
- Analytical and research skills; proficiency in SPSS, Epi‑Info, Stata desirable.
- Excellent report writing in English; fluency in Amharic and English required.
- Advanced computer skills (MS Office, statistical software, data visualization tools).
- Other Requirements:
- Ability to travel 20–30% of the time within Ethiopia.
- Strong time management, problem‑solving, and teamwork skills.
