About the Opportunity

A fast-growing player in industrial manufacturing and assembly, we engineer and deliver precision-built electronics for regional and international clients. Our Ethiopian facility combines modern lean-production methodologies with rigorous quality standards, enabling us to ship high-reliability devices.

Role & Responsibilities

  1. Strategic HR Leadership
    • Partner with senior management to develop and execute HR strategies supporting production efficiency, lean operations, and business expansion.
    • Drive workforce planning aligned with manufacturing capacity, automation, and supply chain dynamics.
    • Lead change management initiatives during organizational transformation, mergers, or system implementations (ERP/HRIS).
  2. Talent Acquisition & Development
    • Lead end-to-end recruitment for technical, engineering, and production roles.
    • Implement talent development frameworks to build leadership and technical excellence pipelines.
    • Establish apprenticeship, internship, and technical training programs in collaboration with academic and industry partners.
  3. Employee Relations & Compliance
    • Ensure harmonious industrial relations and effective communication with employee representatives or unions.
    • Maintain compliance with labor laws, safety regulations, and corporate governance standards.
    • Lead disciplinary and grievance processes fairly and consistently.
  4. Performance & Reward Management
    • Implement performance management systems aligned with operational KPIs (productivity, yield, quality, and safety).
    • Oversee compensation and benefits structures to attract, retain, and motivate top talent.
    • Use HR analytics to support data-driven decisions on workforce cost, turnover, and productivity.
  5. Organizational Culture & Engagement
    • Foster a high-performance, inclusive, and safety-oriented workplace culture.
    • Lead engagement initiatives improving retention, morale, and employee well-being.
    • Drive diversity and inclusion programs in alignment with corporate sustainability goals.
  6. HR Operations & Digital Transformation
    • Oversee HR systems (HRIS, payroll, attendance, time management) ensuring accuracy and efficiency.
    • Utilize automation, analytics, and AI-enabled tools to improve HR service delivery.
    • Manage audits, reporting, and HR metrics dashboards.

Skills & Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, Industrial Relations, or a related discipline.
  • 10–15 years of HR experience, including at least 10 years in managerial roles, preferably in electronics, semiconductor, or high-tech manufacturing with multi-site or regional operations.
  • In-depth understanding of manufacturing HR practices, including labor relations, lean workforce structures, and compliance.
  • Experience with HR systems (SAP SuccessFactors, Workday, Oracle, etc.) and data-driven HR management.
