The selected candidate will join our dynamic Engineering Team and contribute to a wide range of responsibilities, from troubleshooting existing PLC programs on the production floor to leading the integration of new robotics and IIoT (Industrial Internet of Things) projects.
Key Responsibilities
- Design, develop, program, and test PLC (Programmable Logic Controller) and HMI (Human-Machine Interface) applications for new and existing equipment.
- Configure and integrate various field devices (sensors, vision systems, VFDs, robotics).
- Collaborate with maintenance, production, and IT teams to ensure seamless operation
of all automated systems.
- Troubleshoot, diagnose, and resolve complex electrical and control system issues to
minimize production downtime.
- Develop and maintain detailed electrical schematics, network diagrams, and control
system documentation.
- Lead and manage automation projects from conception through commissioning,
including budgeting and scheduling.
- Identify and implement continuous improvement opportunities to enhance equipment
performance, safety, and product quality.
- Provide technical training and support to maintenance technicians and operators.
- Stay current with emerging technologies in industrial automation (e.g., IIoT, Machine
Learning, Digital Twins).
Required Qualifications & Skills
Education & Experience:
- Bachelor of Science degree in Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering,
Mechatronics, Automation Engineering, or a related field.
- Minimum of 3 years of hands-on experience in designing, programming, and
troubleshooting industrial automation systems in a manufacturing environment.
Technical Proficiency (Must-Have):
- Expertise in PLC Programming: Proven experience with at least one major platform
(e.g., Allen-Bradley (ControlLogix, CompactLogix), Siemens (TIA Portal, S7
1200/1500), or Schneider Electric).
- HMI/SCADA Development: Strong skills in developing user interfaces using software
such as Wonderware (AVEVA), Ignition, FactoryTalk View, or Siemens WinCC.
- Robotics Integration: Experience with programming and integrating industrial robots
(e.g., Fanuc, ABB, KUKA) is highly desirable.
- Motion Control: Familiarity with servo drives, VFDs (Variable Frequency Drives), and
motion control applications.
- Electrical Design: Ability to read, design, and modify electrical schematics and panel
layouts using CAD software like AutoCAD Electrical or EPLAN.
- Networking Knowledge: Understanding of industrial communication protocols
(Ethernet/IP, Profinet, Modbus TCP/IP, etc.) and network infrastructure.
Professional Skills:
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with a methodical approach to root-cause
analysis.
- Excellent project management abilities, capable of handling multiple projects
simultaneously.
- Effective communication skills, with the ability to explain complex technical concepts to
non-technical stakeholders.
- A strong commitment to workplace safety (OSHA, NFPA 70E, etc.) and quality
standards.
