UNICEF Ethiopia is seeking an experienced International Innovation Consultant to provide technical leadership in designing, implementing and integrating innovative and digital solutions across UNICEF programmes. This consultancy plays a critical role in driving data-enabled programming and scaling digital innovations that improve outcomes for children and communities across Ethiopia.
This role is open only to non-Ethiopian nationals.

The Innovation Consultant will provide specialized technical expertise to identify, design, pilot, and scale innovative solutions within UNICEF Ethiopia Country Office. The consultant will closely support digital transformation efforts and ensure technology solutions are ethical, scalable, secure, and aligned with programme priorities.

| Education | Master’s degree in Innovation, Business Administration, ICT Management, Digital Transformation, Computer Science, Data Management or related field |
| Experience | Minimum 5 years of professional experience in ICT4D or digital innovation within a large international organization |
| Technical Experience | Designing and implementing large-scale tech projects; managing vendors; project budgeting; procurement; business and systems analysis |
| Tools & Platforms | Exposure to tools such as RapidPro, Primero, U-Report, DHIS2, ODK and global public good technologies |
| Languages | Fluency in English required; knowledge of another UN language is an asset |
