Position Overview

The Associate – Delivery Team will anchor key initiatives focused on strategy formulation, analytics, project delivery, and implementation excellence. The role requires strong consulting‑style problem‑solving, project management, and contextual understanding of health systems in low‑ and middle‑income countries.


Key Responsibilities

  • Lead or co‑lead strategic initiatives in PHC financing, workforce strategy, service delivery models, and digital health.
  • Manage end‑to‑end project lifecycle: scoping, planning, execution, stakeholder engagement, and delivery.
  • Conduct policy analysis, structured problem‑solving, and data modeling.
  • Develop clear, actionable reports, presentations, and decision‑making tools.
  • Engage with senior government officials, development partners, and technical experts.
  • Represent IPHC‑E in external forums and workshops.
  • Mentor junior staff and contribute to institutional learning.

Job Requirements

  • Education:
    • Bachelor’s degree in Public Health, Medicine, Public Policy, Economics, Business Administration, or related fields.
    • Master’s degree (MPH, MBA, MPA, MSc in Global Health or similar) strongly preferred.
  • Experience:
    • 4–6 years of relevant professional experience.
    • Prior experience in strategy consulting, public sector advisory, or international development organizations desirable.
    • Demonstrated leadership in health sector or cross‑sectoral projects.
    • Familiarity with Ethiopia’s health system or other LMIC contexts advantageous.
  • Skills & Competencies:
    • Strong analytical, problem‑solving, and strategic thinking.
    • Excellent project management and organizational skills.
    • Outstanding written and verbal communication in English and Amharic.
    • Ability to work independently under tight deadlines.
    • Collaborative, with strong stakeholder management skills.
    • Advanced proficiency in MS PowerPoint, Excel, and Word; data visualization skills a plus.

Language Requirements

  • Fluency in English and Amharic is mandatory.
  • Additional regional language skills are an advantage.
