Role Purpose

The Regional Sales Manager is responsible for achieving regional sales targets and contributing to national objectives through effective Route-to-Market (RTM) strategies. The role leads sales and distribution operations to ensure market coverage, brand availability, and policy compliance across the West & South regions.

The Regional Sales Manager oversees route planning, trade marketing execution, and wholesaler activation to support redistribution and business growth. The position also focuses on developing a high-performing regional sales team, optimizing resources, ensuring strong stakeholder relationships, and driving operational excellence.


Key Responsibilities

  • Sales & Distribution: Develop and execute regional sales strategies, ensure optimal route plans and full market coverage.
  • Team Leadership & Performance Management: Lead and coach WDS, TMS, and indirect team members; drive a high-performance culture.
  • Market Intelligence & Compliance: Analyze market trends, ensure compliance with legal requirements and company policies.
  • Operational Excellence & Reporting: Lead cycle plan execution, KPI delivery, and quality reporting.
  • Budget & Resource Utilization: Manage regional budgets and ensure efficient deployment of resources.
  • Stakeholder Relationship Management: Build and maintain strong relationships with wholesalers, customers, authorities, and internal cross-functional teams.
  • People Development & Succession Planning: Support recruitment, training, and career development of the regional team.
  • Policy Adherence & Asset Management: Ensure compliance with labor agreements and internal policies; oversee responsible handling of company assets.
  • Other Duties: Perform additional tasks and special projects assigned by the Sales Director.

Impact Areas: Sales volume, market share growth, distribution expansion, team development.


Candidate Profile

Minimum Requirements

Category Requirement
Education University degree in Marketing, Business, or related field
Experience Minimum of 5 years in FMCG sales management
Skills Strong leadership, analytical skills, proficiency in English and MS Office
