Overview
The Ministry of Justice of the Federal Democratic Republic of Ethiopia is undergoing organizational reforms to enhance service delivery and strengthen its legal responsibilities. As part of this initiative, the Ministry is establishing a Customer/Client Service Unit designed to improve efficiency, accuracy, and the overall service experience for justice sector clients.
The Ministry now invites qualified and motivated legal professionals to apply for Prosecutor positions within the Customer/Client Service Unit.
Available Positions
1. Customer/Client Service Prosecutor
Prosecutor Level: Level III
Number of Positions: 20
Education: Bachelor of Laws (LLB) from a recognized university
Graduation Year: 2016 or 2017 E.C.
Minimum CGPA: 3.25 and above
Exit Exam Score: 85% and above
Work Experience: Not required
Key Responsibilities
- Receive client inquiries via call center, email, or other channels and provide accurate, timely, and respectful responses.
- Assist clients visiting the Ministry’s Customer Service Desk and guide them to the appropriate departments.
- Ensure clients receive correct information and high-quality service to improve satisfaction and public trust.
- Organize and analyze institutional information for communication purposes.
- Prepare content for media, social platforms, press releases, and public relations activities.
- Support planning and coordination of public events, news preparation, and message development.
- Assist in media monitoring and execution of communication strategies.
Reports To: Customer/Client Service Coordinator / Public Relations & Communication Directorate
2. Customer/Client Service Prosecutor Coordinator
Prosecutor Level: Senior Prosecutor Level III
Education & Experience Requirements:
- LLB + 7 years of relevant legal work experience; OR
- LLM (Master’s Degree) + 5 years of legal experience; OR
- PhD in Law + 3 years of legal experience.
Minimum Undergraduate CGPA: 3.25 and above
Key Responsibilities
- Supervise and coordinate Customer Service Desk, Digital Service operations, and Call Center activities.
- Ensure that client complaints, information requests, and inquiries are handled efficiently.
- Monitor service quality standards and implement improvements.
- Support digital transformation and enhance institutional service delivery.
- Lead continuous service improvement initiatives through performance monitoring.
Reports To: Head of Customer/Client Service Office
General Mandatory Requirements (For All Applicants)
- Must be an Ethiopian citizen and currently residing in Ethiopia.
- Must adhere to the Constitution and rule of law.
- Must not be a member of any political party.
- Must submit a certificate of good conduct and ethical standing from a relevant authority.
- Must not have any criminal conviction.
- Must be proficient in Amharic (Federal working language).
- Must pass written, oral, or combined assessments as required.
