📌 The Opportunity
Save the Children International seeks an experienced Programme Manager to lead a multi‑year, EU‑funded integrated programme in Ethiopia. The role will oversee interventions across child protection, GBV prevention and response, MHPSS, health, and livelihood reintegration.
🔑 Key Responsibilities
Programme Oversight & Management
- Lead and manage integrated CP, MHPSS, and FSL programme delivery.
- Ensure compliance with donor requirements, KPIs, and project objectives.
- Coordinate project start‑up, implementation, and close‑out processes.
- Conduct regular reviews of progress, risks, and financial performance.
Financial & Grant Management
- Serve as overall budget holder.
- Oversee forecasting, expenditure tracking, and donor compliance.
- Lead budget realignments and revisions with partners and finance teams.
MEAL & Accountability
- Provide leadership for Monitoring, Evaluation, Accountability, and Learning (MEAL).
- Ensure evidence‑based decision‑making through IPTTs, trackers, and evaluations.
- Support baseline, midline, and endline studies.
- Strengthen accountability systems including feedback and complaints mechanisms.
Representation & Coordination
- Represent Save the Children in national/regional coordination platforms (MHPSS, GBV).
- Align project tools and SOPs with national standards.
- Maintain strong relationships with government, UN agencies, NGOs, and partners.
Partnership Management
- Finalize and manage partner agreements.
- Monitor partner performance and provide technical support.
- Ensure effective partnerships aligned with donor requirements.
Staff Management & Capacity Development
- Supervise, coach, and mentor project staff.
- Promote inclusive, high‑performance team culture.
🎓 Qualifications & Experience
- Master’s degree in Psychology, Sociology, Social Work, Development Studies, or related fields (Bachelor’s with 8+ years relevant experience also considered).
- Minimum 5 years of management experience in emergency, fragile, or development settings.
- Proven experience managing integrated multi‑sector programmes, especially GBV and MHPSS.
- Strong expertise in budget management, donor compliance, and partner coordination.
- Excellent analytical, reporting, and communication skills.
- High‑level representation and coordination experience with donors and stakeholders.
- Fluency in English (written and spoken).
- Commitment to Save the Children’s mandate and child safeguarding principles.
