Plan International is an independent development and humanitarian organisation advancing children’s rights and equality for girls. We believe in the power and potential of every child, yet recognize that poverty, violence, exclusion, and discrimination continue to limit their ability to thrive — with girls being disproportionately affected.
Working alongside children, young people, supporters, and partners, we strive for a just world by addressing the root causes of the challenges faced by girls and vulnerable children. We support children’s rights from birth to adulthood and help young people prepare for and respond to crises and adversity. We drive sustainable change in policy, systems, and practice at local, national, and global levels, backed by decades of experience and extensive reach.
For more than 85 years, Plan International has mobilized people and communities across over 80 countries to transform the lives of children.
We won’t stop until we are all equal.
This position plays a key role in empowering adolescents and youth — particularly adolescent girls and young women — to live free from intersectional discrimination and to confidently access friendly, gender-responsive, and high-quality SRHR (Sexual and Reproductive Health and Rights) information and services.
The role is part of the project “Safe Futures: Empowering adolescent girls, boys, women, men and communities to end GBV and FGM/C and expand SRHR access in Benishangul-Gumuz”, funded by GNO and targeting four woredas: Bambasi, Homosha, Assosa Town, and Ura.
The post holder is responsible for ensuring the delivery of high-quality programme results in line with approved plans and objectives — overseeing and maintaining program excellence throughout the entire project cycle.
