Plan International is an independent development and humanitarian organisation that advances children’s rights and equality for girls. We believe in the power and potential of every child; however, poverty, violence, exclusion and discrimination continue to limit opportunities — and girls are disproportionately affected.
Together with children, young people, supporters and partners, we work toward a just world by tackling the root causes of the challenges faced by girls and vulnerable children. We defend children’s rights from birth to adulthood and help young people prepare for and respond to crises and adversity. We influence lasting change in practice and policy at local, national and global levels by leveraging our expertise, reach and experience.
For over 85 years, Plan International has united determined optimists with a shared goal of transforming the lives of children in more than 80 countries.
We won’t stop until we are all equal.
This role is responsible for leading the implementation of SRHR, SGBV and FGM interventions, and for supporting the project team and other relevant staff in all programmatic areas related to sexual and reproductive health and rights and gender-based violence.
The post holder will be instrumental in developing and sustaining strong partnerships with community participants, government structures at all levels, service providers, youth clubs, grassroots organisations, and relevant units within Plan International Ethiopia — ensuring alignment and effective outreach.
The role will support the delivery of interventions that remove barriers to SRHR and enhance access to safe, quality, disability-inclusive and gender-responsive services for SGBV and FGM survivors. A key part of the role is contributing to survivor-centred recovery by facilitating access to skills training and livelihood opportunities that support financial independence — especially for survivors who have lost their livelihoods due to conflict, who face economic dependence that prevents them from exiting violence, or who are unable to return to their communities due to intersectional stigma.
