Position: Supply Chain Consultant Level I (Information & Data Management Officer)

Background

WFP has been collaborating with Africa CDC since the COVID-19 pandemic to strengthen emergency preparedness and response capacities. This consultancy will support supply chain information and data management within Africa CDC’s Emergency Preparedness and Response (EPR) division.


Key Responsibilities

The Consultant will:

  • Support data management to ensure accuracy in quantitative and qualitative information.
  • Develop and standardize templates for data collection, reporting, and documentation.
  • Conduct data mining, cleaning, analysis, and archiving of public health data.
  • Establish repositories and reporting systems for Africa CDC projects across regions.
  • Prepare accurate and timely reports for internal and external stakeholders.
  • Develop maps and visual dashboards to track health-related events and supply chain operations.
  • Maintain effective communication and information-sharing systems with Africa CDC counterparts.
  • Contribute to research proposals, manuscripts, and abstracts ensuring alignment with standards.
  • Analyze supply chain operations and produce performance dashboards.
  • Perform other duties as required.

Qualifications and Experience

Education

  • University degree in Data Science, Information Systems, Analytics, Supply Chain, Logistics, or related fields.

Experience

  • At least 5 years of professional experience in international organizations, focusing on information management, reporting, and/or supply chain operations.

Skills & Competencies

  • Strong analytical and communication skills.
  • Proficiency in information management systems and data visualization.
  • Ability to work collaboratively with multiple stakeholders.
  • Knowledge of public health or humanitarian supply chain systems is an asset.
