Tender Expert/Officer

JOB OVERVIEW
We seek a proactive Tender Officer with a strong engineering/construction/IT background and specific knowledge of construction materials in the chemical industry. The ideal candidate must be highly interpersonal, detail-oriented, and capable of managing end-to-end tender processes in a technical environment.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

• Prepare, review, and submit technical/commercial bids for engineering/construction projects
• Analyze tender documents for full compliance
• Apply knowledge of chemical-based construction materials (coatings, adhesives, composites)
• Use tender portals, ERP systems, and MS Office efficiently
• Coordinate with clients, suppliers, engineers, and internal teams
• Monitor opportunities and conduct post-submission reviews
• QUALIFICATIONS
• Bachelor’s in Engineering, Construction Management, IT, or related field
• 0 to 3+ years in tender management within engineering/construction/chemical industries
• Knowledge of construction materials (chemical sector preferred)
• Proficient in MS Office, project software, and tender platforms
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• PREFERRED
• Certification in Project Management (PMP/PRINCE2) or Supply Chain
• Experience with Ethiopian public procurement processes
• Knowledge of local or international tenders
• Fluency in English and Amharic
