World Vision Ethiopia is seeking a Finance Director to provide strategic financial leadership and oversee all aspects of financial management in its National Office.

Job Purpose

The Finance Director will act as a strategic partner to the National Office’s leadership, ensuring:

• Effective oversight of financial management, budgeting, and reporting
• Strategic forecasting and resource planning for multi-donor funding portfolios
• Implementation of innovative digital financial solutions to enhance efficiency
• Strengthening of finance team capacity and organizational financial literacy
• Compliance with regulatory requirements, internal controls, and risk management policies

This role directly contributes to achieving World Vision Ethiopia’s strategic objectives for child-focused programs.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead strategic financial planning, budgeting, forecasting, and resource allocation
• Integrate multi-donor funding streams into a unified financial strategy
• Drive digital transformation and cost optimization in financial processes
• Ensure robust internal controls, compliance, and effective risk management
• Develop and manage high-performing finance staff
• Champion ethical stewardship and transparency in financial reporting

Qualifications & Requirements

• Education: MBA in Finance or MSc in Finance/Accounting/Auditing preferred
• Professional certifications such as ACCA, CIMA, CPA, or equivalent preferred
• Deep knowledge of government grant regulations, accounting systems, and GAAP
• At least 15 years of finance leadership experience, ideally in INGOs and for-profit sectors
• Proven experience managing large grant portfolios and complex financial operations
• Strong leadership, strategic thinking, and problem-solving skills
• Experience in challenging environments or humanitarian contexts is a plus

Travel Requirements

• Ability to travel domestically and internationally up to 20% of the time
