Job Purpose
The Finance Director will act as a strategic partner to the National Office’s leadership, ensuring:

Effective oversight of financial management, budgeting, and reporting

Strategic forecasting and resource planning for multi-donor funding portfolios

Implementation of innovative digital financial solutions to enhance efficiency
-
Strengthening of finance team capacity and organizational financial literacy
-
Compliance with regulatory requirements, internal controls, and risk management policies
This role directly contributes to achieving World Vision Ethiopia’s strategic objectives for child-focused programs.
Key Responsibilities

Lead strategic financial planning, budgeting, forecasting, and resource allocation

Integrate multi-donor funding streams into a unified financial strategy

Drive digital transformation and cost optimization in financial processes

Ensure robust internal controls, compliance, and effective risk management

Develop and manage high-performing finance staff

Champion ethical stewardship and transparency in financial reporting
Qualifications & Requirements
-
Education: MBA in Finance or MSc in Finance/Accounting/Auditing preferred
-
Professional certifications such as ACCA, CIMA, CPA, or equivalent preferred
-
Deep knowledge of government grant regulations, accounting systems, and GAAP
-
At least 15 years of finance leadership experience, ideally in INGOs and for-profit sectors

Proven experience managing large grant portfolios and complex financial operations
-
Strong leadership, strategic thinking, and problem-solving skills
-
Experience in challenging environments or humanitarian contexts is a plus
Travel Requirements

Ability to travel domestically and internationally up to 20% of the time
