Available Job Positions

1. Invigilator

• Employment Type: Onsite
• Duty Station: Addis Ababa, Ethiopia
• Duration: 2 years (renewable)
• Reports to: Test Day Coordinator / Business Delivery

Key Responsibilities / Job Duties

• Ensure exams are administered smoothly and to required standards
• Follow all British Council and exam board procedures for candidate monitoring, security, and emergency management
• Conduct candidate entry, identity checks, and special arrangements where needed
• Support supervisors to maintain positive candidate experiences
• Maintain accurate records, reports, and logs of exam activities
• Attend all required briefing, training, and mandatory modules (Data Protection, Child Protection, Health & Safety, Equal Opportunities, Anti-Fraud)
• Promote a safe and compliant test environment while monitoring candidate behavior closely

Qualifications & Experience

• Diploma or equivalent qualification (minimum)
• CEFR English B1 level (Listening, Speaking, Reading, Writing) or equivalent (e.g., Cambridge English PET, IELTS 5)
• Experience in customer service, preferably in an education or examinations environment
• Familiarity with safeguarding and child welfare practices desirable
• Ability to operate basic digital and office technology systems

• Some roles may require travel, including overnight stays
• Work schedule may include weekends, public holidays, or extended hours
• Must follow professional dress and conduct guidelines
