The Opportunity – Cluster Finance Manager
The Cluster Finance Manager (Ethiopia, Eritrea & Rwanda) provides strategic leadership in financial management, governance, and compliance. This role ensures resources are managed responsibly, strengthens financial capacity across the cluster, and supports long-term sustainability.
As a senior leader, you will partner with the Cluster Director, country teams, and the Global Finance Leadership Team, offering financial insights to shape program design, grant development, and operational excellence.
Key Responsibilities

Lead financial planning, budgeting, and forecasting processes for the cluster.

Ensure compliance with local statutory regulations and global FHF policies.

Strengthen internal controls, risk management, and partner financial systems.

Provide oversight for grant budgets, donor reporting, and financial audits.

Mentor, coach, and build financial capacity within country teams.

Drive integration of finance, program, and operational strategies.

Represent the cluster in the Global Finance Leadership Team.

Oversee performance reviews, talent development, and succession planning for finance staff.

Lead collaboration with audit firms and ensure implementation of audit recommendations.
What You’ll Need to Succeed

Master’s degree in Finance, Accounting, or a related field (CPA/ACCA/CA preferred).

10+ years of financial management experience, with at least 5 years in grants administration within international donor programs.

Proven expertise in budget management, program financing, and donor compliance.
-
Strong leadership, negotiation, and conflict management skills.
-
Experience in program design, project management, and financial risk analysis.

Excellent communication, mentoring, and organizational skills.
