Job Title: Custom Assessor Officer
Job Summary
A Customs Assessor Officer is a customs officer who specializes in determining the applicable duties and taxes for imported and exported goods, ensuring compliance with customs regulations, and facilitating the smooth passage and transit of goods through customs.
Roles and Responsibilities:
- Manage and oversee the customs clearance processes for imports and exports.
- Make preliminary document checking and report if there is a missing document to process customs procedure.
- Plan the time of declaration finalization and perform up on the plan,
- Find and assign the exact tariff amount for every single item as per declaration from HS code,
- Assess and declare Import and export Declarations of goods through ECMS Portal and follow up and prepared VDD.
- Ensure compliance with national and international customs regulations.
- Coordinate with customs officers, freight forwarders, and stakeholders to ensure timely accurate clearance.
- Maintain and update customs documentation and ensure accuracy.
- Resolve any issues related to cargo clearance or transit delays.
- Prepare and submit required reports related to customs and transit operations.
Educational Background:
- Degree in Business, Management, Accounting, Economics, Logistics or any related field.
- Holder of Certificate or a Customs Clearance Certification is required.
Experience:
- Minimum of 1-2 years in Customs assessor, operations, including experience in Air Cargo operations and other custom branches.
Salary: Negotiable and Commission based
