About the Role

SOS Children’s Villages Ethiopia is seeking an experienced and motivated Digital Marketing Mentor to teach digital marketing skills, provide guidance, and support students in achieving professional growth. This role includes both online and in-person training, one-to-one support, and creating engaging, gamified learning experiences.

The mentor will work with underprivileged students to improve their freelancing and digital marketing capabilities, with projects often funded by NGOs focused on impact over profit.

Key Responsibilities

• Create and update courses in English and local languages.
• Conduct online and in-person training classes.
• Provide one-on-one support to students using various online tools.
• Host webinars, seminars, and Q&A sessions.
• Support students with assignments and tasks post-course creation.
• Create gamified elements and competitions to enhance student engagement.
• Evaluate student assignments and provide constructive feedback.
• Participate in internal weekly, monthly, and annual meetings with prepared inputs.

Qualifications and Experience

Must Have:

• Proven experience as a Digital Marketer for at least 3 years.
• In-depth knowledge of social media platforms, best practices, and website analytics.
• Proficiency with Facebook Business Manager, Google Business Suite, and other digital marketing tools.
• Verifiable portfolio of work.
• Freelancing experience on Upwork, Fiverr, PPH, etc., is a plus.
• Experience in remote work environments.
• Proficiency in Photoshop, Illustrator, Canva, or other visual design tools.
• Exceptional time management, organization, and multitasking skills.
• Up-to-date with the latest trends and technologies in digital marketing.
