๐น Job Summary
The Driver Mechanic will be responsible for operating project vehicles, transporting staff and supplies, performing routine vehicle maintenance, assisting mechanics in repairs, and ensuring that all vehicles are safe, clean, and roadworthy.
๐น Key Responsibilities

Drive KIA-KOICA Project vehicles for transporting staff, supplies, and documents.

Conduct routine vehicle checks (oil, water, battery, brakes, tires, etc.).

Perform Level A and Level B services/maintenance and assist with major repairs.

Keep an accurate vehicle logbook (mileage, fuel, oil changes, servicing history).

Support the Chief Mechanic/Automotive Trainer during major repairs.

Prepare and submit monthly vehicle usage reports.

Ensure safe handling of project property and compliance with organizational policies.

Follow proper accident procedures in case of incidents.

Undertake other tasks as assigned.
๐น Qualifications & Experience

Certificate in Auto Mechanics or related field.

Valid 3rd grade (old) or Cargo II (new) driving license.
-
Minimum 5 yearsโ experience driving and maintaining light vehicles (NGO or commercial).

Knowledge of vehicle service/maintenance.
-
Good communication skills with clean driving history.

Basic computer skills (MS Word, Excel, Lotus Notes).

Intermediate English and fluency in Amharic.
